Every birthday is special. The birthday of a great person is extra-special. The birthday of Mary, the mother of God and our adoptive mother, is so significant that we can't even express it. Moreover, the birthday of the mother of God in this year of the Great Jubilee is undoubtedly one of the most important of Mary's over two-thousand birthdays. Expect today "immeasurably more than we ask or imagine" (Eph 3:20).
On Mary's birthday, everyone receives presents, especially her Son, Savior, Lord, and God: Jesus. On this exceptional day of grace, give your life totally to Jesus. Ask Jesus to give you the Great Jubilee of justice, joy, and freedom. Ask Him to make "all things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His decree" (Rm 8:28). Ask for God's wisdom of which "it is written: 'Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, not has it so much as dawned on man what God has prepared for those who love Him' " (1 Cor 2:9). "This is the day the Lord has made; let us be glad and rejoice in it" (Ps 118:24).
Happy birthday, Mom! We love you! Thank you for being Jesus' mother. Happy birthday!
