glow in the dark?
"He did not know that the skin of his face had become radiant while he conversed with the Lord." —Exodus 34:29
Moses glowed. "When Aaron, then, and the other Israelites saw Moses and noticed how radiant the skin of his face had become, they were afraid to come near him" (Ex 34:30).
When people let King Jesus take total control of their lives and they enter His kingdom (see Mt 13:44-46), they will glow — if not visibly, at least interiorly. Some family members and friends are attracted to the glow, and soon they decide to enter God's kingdom and thereby glow themselves. Others run away.
There are Christians around you glowing with evangelistic zeal, radical commitment to Jesus, worship in Spirit and in truth (Jn 4:24), submission to the Church's authority, and other courageous lifestyle decisions. Will you go to the glow and then glow yourself? Or will you run from the Son? If you glow, you will attract many people, while repelling others. Will you go to the glow? Will you glow in the dark?
Prayer: Father, I choose to accept Your grace to glow against the darkness.
Promise: "The reign of God is like a buried treasure which a man found in a field." —Mt 13:44
